Elegant & Historic
Eastbourne
5th - 9th July 2023

Eastbourne is  one of Britain's more elegant resorts, enjoying a glorious location on the South Coast. Take a relaxing stroll down the spacious promenade, enjoy the  world-famous carpet and seafront gardens or the blue flag beach.

We start our tour with a full day visit to Brighton, with a chance to explore the Lanes, a fabulous maze of twisting alleyways offering an extraordinary mix of antiques and jewellery shops. We will also pay a visit to John Nash’s extraordinary oriental fantasy, the Royal Pavilion, with an audio guide.

You will also have a free day to explore Eastbourne, with it’s spacious promenade and the expansive seafront. There's plenty to do with first class shops, museums, shows and dancing in the Winter Gardens.

Our other day out takes us to the atmospheric Battle Abbey ruins which dominate the small town where William conquered Harold. Stand on the very spot where King Harold is said to have died! After a stop for lunch in Hastings, which has undergone extensive regeneration in recent years, we will visit the nearby Carr Taylor Vineyard where we will enjoy a guided walk through the vineyard and winery before tasting some of the wines.

Our return journey will include a stop at the Gunwharf Quays centre, where you can enjoy some retail therapy, or enjoy the view form the Spinnaker Tower.
